Embracing Autumn

Updated: Dec 10

As the temperatures begin to cool and the vibrant greens of summer give way to the warm hues of fall, there’s an unmistakable shift in the air. The crispness invites us to slow down, to gather around flickering candles and the comforting embrace of soft blankets.

With each fallen leaf, we’re reminded to savor simple joys—embracing seasonal rituals with a visit to apple orchards and pumpkin patches, curling up at home with a good book, or whipping up hearty meals that nourish both body and spirit. It’s the perfect time to refocus our energy on creating rather than consuming, and transforming our homes into cozy sanctuaries that reflect the season's beauty.

During the fall I always gravitate towards rich, earthy tones and lush velvet textures that capture the essence of the season. These plates (large, small) would be perfect for an al fresco dinner party featuring a fresh garden harvest. I recently purchased this striped jute doormat to brighten up the entryway to my home, and it's made a surprising impact when paired with some jewel toned mums and heirloom pumpkins. These faux scabiosa stems in the prettiest deep, burgundy hue would look lovely in on entryway console or on a nightstand.

I own two of these lamps and recently purchased this beautiful tapestry bolster pillow for our primary bedroom, all of which I'd highly recommend. We also recently invested in new nightstands, and while we didn't opt for these scalloped beauties, I think they would be so charming in the right space. They would also pair nicely with a velvet chair like this one.

This side tie dress has been on my wish list for some time - it looks so simple but elegant. The velvet bows on this chunky knit put a flirty twist on a classic fall cardigan. And I love the whipstitch detail on this belt.

Hope you're busy soaking up the last of the warm weather or already cozying up for fall! xx
